Happiness on Fraser Island

$300.00

Who doesn't love the ocean? These vibrant colours bring back memories of seaside adventures. Vicki had in mind the deep colour of the sea as viewed from a cliff on Fraser Island, Australia when she hand crafted this seascape using specialty fibers such as silk, wool, locks and yarn.

The artwork is a vivid, abstract representation of an ocean scene. Layers of different shades of blue and turquoise evoke the depth and movement of ocean waves. The top of the artwork features dark indigo hues representing the deep sea, transitioning to lighter, brighter blues and greens as it reaches the shore. The bottom of the piece showcases white, cloud-like formations that resemble crashing waves against a sandy beach. The textures are dynamic, providing a sense of fluidity and motion, encapsulating the essence of a tranquil seaside view.

This original artwork measures 27 x 34cm (10.5x 13”) and come framed in a shadow box.
