Golden Winter

$75.00

The artwork presents a textured, impressionistic winter landscape with snow-covered trees. The trees are rendered in thick, layered strokes of white and dark colors, evoking the weight and texture of snow. The ground is blanketed in a mix of white and blue hues, suggesting snow and ice. The sky dominates the background with a vibrant, warm yellow transitioning to a subtle orange near the horizon, creating a strong contrast with the cool tones of the snowy scene below. The style emphasizes texture and movement, giving the piece a dynamic and tactile quality.

Introducing Vicki’s new line of encaustic pieces! Encaustic is a mix of beeswax, natural damar tree resin and pigment, layered on a birch cradle board. Each layer is fused using heat to make a durable surface once it has cured. Much like needle-felted wool, encaustic is wonderful for achieving pronounced texture and depth. Vicki’s use of saturated colour, enhanced texture and sweeping movement carries over nicely to this beautiful artform.

This original encaustic painting was hand-crafted with encaustic medium and pigment stick on a birch cradle board.

Artwork dimensions are 13 × 13 cm (5 × 5”)
