Blue Path

$570.00

This encaustic beeswax artwork is a vibrant forest scene with tall trees on the left side. The ground is richly textured with a dense carpet of blue flowers and greenery that extends toward the right, where the flora transitions into golden grass. The sky is painted with dynamic strokes of light blue and white, creating a sense of movement and depth. The overall composition combines vivid colors and textured brushwork to evoke the beauty and tranquility of a natural woodland landscape.

Introducing Vicki’s new line of encaustic pieces! Encaustic is a mix of beeswax, natural damar tree resin and pigment, layered on a birch cradle board. Each layer is fused using heat to make a durable surface once it has cured. Much like needle-felted wool, encaustic is wonderful for achieving pronounced texture and depth. Vicki’s use of saturated colour, enhanced texture and sweeping movement carries over nicely to this beautiful artform.

This original encaustic painting was hand-crafted with encaustic medium and pigment stick on a birch cradle board.

Artwork dimensions are 24 × 41 cm (12 × 16”)
